Great Smoky Mountains NP (TN)
Not my most original shot, but I really wanted to take a photo of the beautiful layers of the smoky mountains going off into the distance. This is the first time I tried out using a super telephoto lens. It went pretty well, and I was able to take large photos of things very far away, as advertised. It was pretty important to use both mirror lock up and exposure delay mode to make sure the pictures came out sharp - pretty much any movement from the mirror or my hand or wind would result in a blurry photo.
