Come Together

Death Valley (NP)

Seems more appropriate now than ever! It was sad to see many of my friends suffering yesterday. I'm not sure what to say other than us humans need to stick together - in the end we all want the same thing. Happiness. That comes from being there from one another.

This photo was taken in the same place as my most popular photo, the "Milky Way Over the Racetrack Playa," but a couple hours earlier during twilight. You may have heard that this place was recently vandalized by someone driving an SUV all over it, which could take years to fix. Very sad. It's a sacred place because there's no other place like it. It's a very flat 2.7 square mile area in the middle of the desert where huge boulders have strange trails behind them. The trails are formed after cold nights when ice melts and the wind blows the boulders - not common conditions for deserts!
