"As Simple as Possible, but Not Simpler"
Abiqua Falls (OR)
I'd been wanting to go to this waterfall for a very long time, so I was really happy to see it last May when I was in Oregon. It's a massive waterfall and the amiptheatre it's in is gorgeous (check out those awesome boxy rocks on the side). It's just so photogenic and there are a ton of different compositions of it that all look great.
I decided to go with a very simple composition for now, because I am all about keeping things simple. It sounds like Einstein was a fan too, based on the quote I used for the title. I strive to examine all aspects of my life and look for ways I can make things simpler and more efficient - from the number of things I own, to the way I use money, to the way I keep my house, to the way I use computers, and live life in general. It totally pays off!
Try it out yourself - find the subject and purpose of your life (or the photo you're taking) and remove the things around it that are only a distraction and don't add value. Those things might seem necessary at first, but after removing them you might find your subject has more room to breathe! Hah, I made a metaphor.
