Mt Rainier NP - Upper Tipsoo Lake (WA)
The clouds around Mt. Rainier weren't playing nice when I was there in August - just about every sunrise and sunset were either clear blue skies or very cloudy (oldmanyellsatcloud.jpg: http://i.imgur.com/91sn32Q.jpg). I went to Upper Tipsoo Lake and must have sat there for a couple hours, watching and waiting for some light to explode or the mountain to come out more. This photo was the best I saw that night - if you look closely you can see the very tip of the mountain. I'll be back for revenge some day!
I decided to purposely make this one look fantastical (mountains don't normally glow purple) to spice it up a bit and practice my editing skills. Hope you enjoy it.
