Another intimate photo of the snowy MLK Jr. Day we had. A lot of photos I am in the process of making are more in this vein. For whatever reason, I feel like I am better able to imbue my own sense of creativity into a photo like this compared to a wider, more traditional landscape photo. Although it is not a literal interpretation of the entire area I was in, when I look at it I am better able to recall what I was feeling that day as the fluffy snow gently fell and simplified the sights and sounds of the surrounding grasslands. I was happy, calm, and had a playful spirit as I bounced from scene to scene, examining their details and focusing on their abstract properties such as their shapes and lines.
